Past- The beginning; in 2013 our goal was to raise awareness and become a Not-for-Profit, tax organization (501(3)b. We attended two NEDA conferences, lobbied in Washington to support the FREED act, distributed hundreds of bracelets around the country, provided NEDA toolkits for Educators, Coaches, and Parents, and provided hundreds of informational procures, books, awareness materials. KMB supported NEDA Walks in NYC, Buffalo, Philadelphia, West Chester, Pittsburgh, and Syracuse. KMB participated in the Eastman House Photo Finish 5K as a major fundraiser event, Saturday, October 3, 2015, successfully raised over $3,000 which directly funded an ED support group at a local college campus- a 2015 initiative! In 2015 we collaborated to launch an online support program ‘Love Your Body U’ at Syracuse University. This program had very positive results with over 50 participants. Unfortunately, we were unable to secure enough funding to launch the program during the 2016-2017 school year, but we intend to continue to search for innovative and sustainable support initiatives! Most recently, we held our first KMB Artisan Auction and raised $4,000 for 2017 initiatives!
